One more of my favourite Marathi dishes. This is as healthy as you can get. Bhajani che Thalipeeth or the way I call it multigrain flatbread contains a lot of nutritional value, its made up of various grains, lentils and pulses. I will put up a recipe of my mother's recipe on how to make the flour separately for those who are interested in making it from scratch. I have the liberty of using the one my mom makes :) The store bought ones are good enough too. You can get them in all Indian stores, its called Bhajaniche Peeth. When I make this its not an authentic recipe, it more of east meets west. But trust me its does taste scrumptious with a big dollop of yogurt!
Here is what you need if you would like to give it a go :
Shopping list:
2 cups of Bhajani Flour / Multi grain flour
Chives
Crushed peanuts
Chili powder
Salt to taste
A pinch of Sugar
Olive oil or Sunflower Oil for cooking, for the ones who like Ghee can use a spoonful of Ghee.
Some water to bring the dough together
Lets crack on:

Lets crack on:
Making the Dough:
- Mix all the ingredients except for oil and add some water bit by bit until the flour comes together in a night dough ball. The dough needs to be fairly tight.
- Turn the dough into even size balls. Make them fairly big as they will get flattened into a bread.
- Keep them aside for 5 mins.
Making the Flatbread / Thalipeeth:
- Take a heavy based pan, like a griddle (plain not ridged) or a skillet
- Oil the pan well, so that the bread doesn't stick to the pan when cooking.
- Press the dough down to the entire width of the pan and make a few holes once its pressed down.
- Pour a bit of oil in each hole.
- Put the pan on medium heat and cover it.
- Check it after 2 mins, the top of the bread should look dry and the bread should start coming apart from the pan.
- If the bread does not come apart, let it cook for some more time, but keep watching it like a hawk as you don't want it to burn.
- Flip the bread and roast is on the other side, so that it crisps up nicely.
